Gail Tasch, MD

Dr. Gail Tasch is a board certified psychiatrist, attended Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine and completed a residency at Mayo Clinic in Rochester MN. Although trained in conventional medicine, Dr. Tasch has been concerned about the harm that people experience from the field of psychiatry.  Her main focus at this time is getting people out of abusive guardianships and mental health commitments. She has helped many patients leave the mental health system.

She is also involved in legal work for individuals who have committed violent crimes after taking psychiatric drugs. She believes that people who experience emotional distress can benefit from holistic approaches such as psychotherapy, meditation,  nutrition, and support.

Gail is an author for Mad in America and Gail is Secretary and Board member of the International Society for Ethics in Psychiatry and Psychology(ISEPP).

To relax Gail liked to golf, ride her American Saddlebred horses and ski.  Gail enjoys Opera and her favorite Opera is Mozart’s the Marriage of Figaro.

In the past Gail has enjoyed working with Veteran's through the VA.

Gail's dream is for their to be communal housing for those with special needs, integrating back into society, on a budget or just want company.  We hope Civilitiville USA can help make this happen!

Gail is divorced and has two adult children and a new grandchild!
