USA Hope Houses
Civilitiville U S A is excited to be focusing on our USA Hope Houses effort. This was actually the initial dream in 2011 and 2015- places where people can congregate, work on personal goals, issues and collective goals and issues, recreate and experience brotherly love. All houses will offer coffee, tea, lemonade, water, bread and cookies, pastry or cake. A suggested donation of $2 per visit. There will be a focus on Veterans and those in need- which is all of us! Civilitiville USA will not handle money, the money will be run through our strategic partners, namely churches, Newman Centers VFW, American Legion Halls, etc. We will have a cap on donations and not accept any government money.
Here are some initial thoughts:
There will be four types of Houses and a given facility can host more than one type of House.
USA Hope Houses will provide: Recreation, the Arts, Basic Education and skill building including:
Music, Arts, Stand up Comedy, Bridge, Chess , Cribbage, Checkers, Book/Article Writing, Resume Building, Job Counseling, Basic Reading, Writing, Math and Languages- predominantly individual tutorials but some classes. Classes on manners, etiquette, net working and how to dress for success will also be provided. Where possible, sports.
USA Peace Houses will provide: A forum for Restore America Corps and Accountability in Action and will provide Professional Education and Host a Library. Professional Education can include Accounting, Marketing, Research, Journalism, Website Development, etc. and certificate programs will be offered.
USA Charity Houses will provide: Cooking and meal preparation/bag lunches, restaurant, food service and chef and server training and a dine in “restaurant” where meals will have a suggested donation of $5. There will also be access to clothing, and information on shelters and permanent housing.
USA Faith Houses will provide:

- Divorce Support Groups- Promoting Catholic principles in a secular manner
- Marriage Preparation- “ “
- Bible Study
- Life Coach Counseling
- AA, GA, NA
- Al Anon
- and more...
Only marriage preparation will be co-ed, others will have separate men and women groups.
We hope to have initial seed money and hope to use “church” or VFW like facilities. The idea is for all of this to be self-sustain through donations, art products, music product and perhaps “consulting” opportunities. Art developed at the center can be made into prints, note cards, playing cards, etc. and artists can be paid a one-time fee for the rights to their art. Likewise with music and comedy. We hope to bring back local radio and have a diverse group of new artists hitting the charts!
Civilitiville USA will have Ministers in various areas like Education, The Environment, Consumer Protection, Music, etc. that will be high level volunteer positions. We will have “Educators” that will be compensated to develop and coordinate curriculum. The Houses will have “Ambassadors”- volunteers that manage activities and Liaisons- paid staff that help administer, execute activities. Visitors will be called “Pilgrims”.
We envision people from all walks of life coming to the Houses and even people dating or meeting people to befriend or date in a wholesome manner. We envision great innovation in the arts and sciences and culture. We hope to rush in a new generation of artists, scientists, accountants, journalists, landscapers, florists, trades men and woman, commercial artists, techies and leaders and benefit from the experience of many. We all have something to give, we just need a forum, a safe space, truth, love, faith, hope and an abundance of prayers.
