Angela Blackmon

Angela was born and raised in South Carolina, but has made her home in Minneapolis, MN since 1994.

Since age six, she has had a love for drawing and painting after watching her older brother do artwork. Saturday morning cartoons were her inspiration, as well as reading her older brothers' comic books. Her sense of humor fueled her desire to do caricatures, and cartoon characters. She was so facinated with animated cartoons, she reached out to Disney Animation by letter at age twelve. One animator named Harry Love replied with a personal response in a typed and signed letter, advising her to keep practicing her work.

As a young teen, Angela continued pursuing art through high school classes, and The Governers School of Arts, formerly known as The Fine Arts Center. Since that time, she has earned degrees at Brevard College in North
